Departing Employee Technology Checklist

When leaving Dana Hall there are a few key things that you will need to do to return your equipment and get copies of your data.

1. Copy any data and documents you need to keep to a personal external hard drive or cloud storage service (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)
2. Use “Google Takeout” or “Google Transfer” to export files from your Dana Hall Google Account.
   • • Google Takeout – Download files via links sent to you from Google to your email address. You will need to move these files to a preferred location manually. Google Takeout Help
     • Google Transfer – Google will move your files for you to another Google Account. Google Transfer Help
3. Disable ‘Find My iPad’ and then erase the device **This will erase your iPad**
   • • Disable Find My iPad
     • Erase the Device: Open Settings —> General —> Reset —> Erase All Content & Settings
4. Technology to Return:
   • • iPad
     • iPad wall plug
     • iPad charging cable
     • iPad case
     • Apple Pencil (if applicable)
     • MacBook
     • MacBook charger
     • External hard drive w/cable ( if applicable)
5. Where to drop off:
   • • Technology Office
     • Campus Safety
     • Department Manager
