Over the summer Canvas slightly changed how to assign materials to your students.
When you navigate to your assignment you will see a new button called “Assign To”
Clicking that button will display a ride sidebar so you can quickly edit the due dates:
If you prefer the old method you can click “edit”
You can then scroll down and find the new button “Manage Due Dates and Assign To”
Which will pull up the same right sidebar:
