Dana Hall School requires all DanaConnect users to sign in with a “Blackbaud ID.” This allows for more efficient and secure access to your record. The following steps will guide you through this process of setting up your account.
Step 1.
You will receive an invitation to the email address we have on file for you from Dana Hall School with the subject line “Connect to Dana Hall School”. Select the blue “Accept Invitation” button.
Whether you use this email as a prompt or simply navigate to the DanaConnect portal independently, when you log in, you will see a Sign In page with two options on how to Sign Up. If you use a Google account, please click “Sign in with Google” to link your Blackbaud ID account to your Google account. This will allow you to use your existing Google account to sign in to DanaConnect without needing to manage a separate password. For any other account type, please click the “Sign Up” link at the bottom to set your password.
Note: The message “There is no account with this email address” is expected as you are creating a new Blackbaud ID account that does not yet exist.
Step 2.
The next steps is to create your Blackbaud ID password.
Google Accounts: If you sign in with a Google email, then will sign in using the Google portal and the password will be the same as your Google email password. This will allow you to use your existing Google account to sign in to DanaConnect without needing to manage a separate password.
Apple Accounts: If you sign in with an email attached to your Apple account, then you will sign in through the Apple portal. This will allow you to use your existing Apple account to sign in to DanaConnect without needing to manage a separate password.
Other Accounts: If you use another account, you will create your own password. This can be the same password as your current DanaConnect login as long as the password meets all requirements, or you may choose to select a different password. Passwords must be at least 12 characters long and contain at least three of the following four components: a capital letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a special character. Click the “Sign Up” button when complete.
