Compromised Password

Apple and Google both have built-in features to help you determine whether you have a compromised password.

Apple has a built-in app called “Passwords”. You can find this app in your Applications list, either on iOS or macOS.

Navigate to Security to see if any of your accounts have been flagged as having a compromised password. If you see this type of message, change the password to that account immediately.

Google also has this feature built into your account. Click your name bubble from a browser window, select “Manage your Google Account” and then open “Security and sign-in”:

Scroll ALL the way down to find the Password Manager:

From there, you can select “Go to Password Checkup” to scan and check for compromised passwords.
